Check out this post and other crafty inspiration over at our new blog!
Hello there! Today we bring you a special project in celebration of World Card Making Day! What? You didn’t know that Saturday, October 5th was a crafting holiday? Shame on you! LOL – just kidding. Allow us to elaborate… World Card Making Day occurs on the first Saturday in October every year to kick-off the holiday card making season. Crafters around the world unite to share their holiday cards and ideas, along with various crafting parties and competitions. Just in case you weren’t invited to a card making party, feel free to join us on Facebook and share your cards with us to join in the fun!
For our crafting celebration, we created a fabulous Christmas themed card. It’s never to early to plan for Christmas!
This is a super-cute slider card from SVGCuttingFiles.com. It’s a two-piece card – a beautiful patterned pocket base with a notecard that slides in and out to reveal your personal message. Adding the beautiful bow (attached with a coordinating decorative brad!) and chipboard sentiment really set this card over-the-top for me, making it one of my favorites.
I am just in love with this Merry & Bright paper and embellishments pack from Carta Bella. It is full of fun and festive designs that are sure to make any project pop with joy!
So what type of card will you make to celebrate World Card Making Day? Check out all the other wonderful ideas by hopping over to the Blog Tour at Paper Crafts Connection.
We are also entering this project into two challenges, so be sure to check out their blogs for more project inspiration!
We hope you enjoyed this special edition post – we sure did! I’m hearing Christmas music in the background already… well, maybe not yet, but hopefully this card brings out the holiday spirit a little early this year! Thank you for joining us and stay tuned for more to come!
